Big Red's was the site of our latest Happy Hour Tribal meeting. A lot has changed since the last time we were there. The bar area has doubled in size, taking up the space immediately forward from the bar to the street windows. The peanuts are still there to throw on the floor, and the appetizers were not as good as the last time. But the help was ok, and the company was great like usual.
Randy is still under the weather so he couldn't make it. And DJ and The Instigator were traveling to the beach. MM was down in So Cal. No excuses for everyone else. But we had a sizeable crowd nonetheless.
A new vote is up for the next meeting. I'm planning on going into McMinnville to recon the Golden West Brewery sometime in the next week or so. I went there on the way to the beach a few weeks ago, and had some of the best beer I've ever had. So now it's time to recon it special like. I'll post the results. Also, if you'd like to tag along, just let me know. People driving vans and not drinking are welcome to volunteer.
Pitchers and Catchers report around the 20th of February. I can almost hear the crack of the bat and feel the wave of warm air from spring training. The Mariners have put four packs of tickets up for sale for special games prior to releasing all the remaining games seats for general sales in March. One of the four packs are all on Sundays. I think I like that one. Let me know if you're interested in going.
Another month has gone bye... Not too much activity since the holiday. Super Bowl came and went. A lot of people are sick. Randy came down with an infected Gall Bladder, which turned into some other serious thing. Another member contracted Meningitis, leaving her pretty ill for a week, and another got Laryngitis.
So, going out drinking took a back stage to staying home and keeping warm. The small group that managed to show up on the 28th decided to choose in advance where to go the next time. So, it's Big Red's. Close, warm, inviting. Plenty of beer to choose from and a nice happy hour with the appetizers being on the tex-mex side of the house.
Everyone agreed to choose Saturday as the night to meet. Plenty of reasons why. Mark your calendar, and remember it's on a Saturday night.
