Happy Halloween! No big parties for me this year... dammit! But, I have too much going on anyways not to stay home. Candy passing-out ain't so bad I suppose... The other night there was a zillion little goblins and witches circling downtown Tigard in the third or fourth annual Trick Or Treat Tigard Main Street. It reminded me of some kind of Dr. Seuss book the way the crowd took up every square inch of sidewalk, all marching in mostly the same direction, clockwise around Main Street. Loads more kids than the last few years! I was forced to up my candy buying a few bags.
I'm interested in organizing a Happy Hour Sunday Brunch. I've gotten a few ideas for some good Sunday Brunch places from some of you. I think I'll compile a list and place it up for a vote. If you have any suggestions, please use the Recon Submission button and send in your ideas. I'd like to know what you think is a great place, when would be a good Sunday to do it, and whatever else. Or may be you'd be interested in a Sunday Brunch Pot Luck at some Tribe Member's house? Send that along too. Spend money, or bring a dish. Hmm... $$ or dish... hmmmmm....
Last but not least, don't be like Luscious Liz and forget to turn back your clocks!!

Updated a few pages, added a few establishments, updated external links.
Take note that the Nov 9th Meeting will be
on a Saturday evening. Why? I'm tired of missing new episodes of Stargate
SG-1 and Enterprise.
Thanks for your understanding.
By the way, anyone who wants to come over and watch Sci
Fi Friday is welcome.

The vote's in for the next Meeting. Check here for the results!

seems to be flying by. As a friend at work tells me, "There's only so many days 'til Christmas!" Well, he's right. Since the web's inception, I've tried to get my shopping done by October. " Tried" being the operative word here, I've seldom been able to get anything before it was well too late to ship. Oh well... maybe some day...
A few birthdays slipped our radar for last month. Dammit! One of our more illustrious members, and a super guy, Stoneman, turned 39 on an undisclosed day last month.

Happy Birthday STONEMAN!!!
Being the strong silent type, Stoneman neglected to tell anyone of his birthday until well after it was over. We'll all have to catch up with him at some point in the future...
Someone else had a September Birthday. Hmmm. Now who was it? Hmmm, oh yeah. Another strong, silent type. These two have a lot in common.

The Healer in Beer Mode
She is the observant type too. The Healer, always a happy addition to any crowd, livens up any party, and keeps us laughing with her keen observations. Happy Birthday!!
Now that we've caught up with September, at least one of us has a birthday in October. Today is that special day for Peanut! Seen below, frolicking somewhere during a happy hour event, Peanut wasted no time today getting off as early as she could in order to meet up with her partner in crime, Chick, and head off to parts unknown in the few hours left to them on her special day.

Happy 20-Something Birthday, Peanut!!
Hopefully you and Chick found some place still open by the time you unassed the PO! Jeesuz! You'd think those B#st#rds would give a new regular a little time off!
That's the end of my list for Birthdays this month. Did I forget anyone?? Let me know. I'll find a suitably embarrassing picture and post it prominently on this page. :)

I'm looking forward to having Monday off. Yes, it will be nice not having to brave the traffic on Pacific Highway, witnessing hundreds of near misses and cell phone calls. Imagine the world without cell phones. Nah...
I've posted a new vote. Depending on the vote, we'll plan on either a Friday or Saturday. Hell, it may even be a Sunday. Why? Go vote and figure it out.
Our foray (sp?) to Newport Bay was fun. We got the last seats in the house. I got the last parking spot, and we managed to run into one of our co-workers who was there for the grub with her parents. It just goes to show you that you never know what's going to happen at the Tribal Meeting...
Look for some new pictures this weekend some time. They will be from some old meetings, but worth the look-see :)

Posted the results of the vote. Newport Bay and Calamity Jane's tied. Newport Bay, being the closest to Tigard Station, wins out. It's too bad. If you like beer, one beer at Calamity Jane's is about all any of you smaller wimpy republicans can handle. I'd even buy your second drink, if you could get through the first one inside of 45 minutes. It's a safe bet, says I...
I hope you all like fish...

Posted the vote for October 8th. You choose where to go. Quite a cross section this time around. Distance driving, or close by. It's your vote! Get into practice for the November World Series of Voting!
Finished off September and placed it in the Archives... At least September was way better than August!
